The Friends of Boothe Park, Inc.

All volunteer, non-profit organization formed in 1984 to preserve and restore the Park and buildings. The Friends provide an annual Opening Day event, exhibits, tours, school programs, a genealogy library, and rose garden for the benefit of the general public. Tax-deductible contributions to the "Friends of Boothe Park" are welcomed and may be sent to P.O. Box 902, Stratford, CT. Annual memberships are available at $10 for individuals and $25 for families. Those interested in volunteering at the Park should send a note to the same address.



Putney Chapel Association (rent out the chapel)

Rental is available of the historic Putney Chapel for weddings by calling 203.381.2046.

Stratford Amateur Radio Club

Ham radio club that meets Wed. in the Radio Club building on Park grounds. New members and visitors welcome. For more info. call 375.3517.



Players at Putney Gardens (acting troupe)

Boothe Memorial Railway Society

All volunteer, non-profit railroad club devoted to promoting an interest in model trains and railroad history. Fully operating model railroad layouts and cabinet displays of model and full-scale railroad memorabilia. This working society meets every Wed. 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. New members, school & scout groups welcome. For more info. call 378.1878 and leave a message.

Boothe Memorial Astronomical Society

Formed by a local group of professional and amateur astronomers in 1953. Meetings take place in the Observatory the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month at 8:00 p.m. Visitors always welcome. Children's Playground

Brand new, 6,000 sq. ft. handicapped accessible playscape featuring 2 rock climbing walls. Open to the public year-round.



Annual Great Pumpkin Festival

Wonderful family festival featuring a giant pumpkin carving contest, children's costume parade and horse-drawn hayrides. Sponsored by the Boothe Park Commission and the Town of Stratford. Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 1:00 - 5:OOpm (rain date is Sunday, October 19th).
